Collaborative learning has been well-embraced in education for years. It has been renewed and extended by modern technologies. These include connecting learners across space, fostering group written discourses, guiding collaborative processes, and promoting collective knowledge. Examples illustrate that technology-enhanced collaborative learning (TECL) keeps evolving with the latest technology, including multimodal tools, virtual reality, and machine learning.
