The course focuses on the issues that should be taken into account while developing/adapting teaching materials for speaking. It discusses: 

1. problems that are connected with the adaptation process; 

2. what does authenticity mean? 

3. Factors that need to be taken into account while teaching 

3.1. Students’ age peculiarities;

3.2. Sociocultural, political or institutional contexts of teaching;

3.3. Individual abilities, preferences, learners’ language proficiency level; 

4. Speaking Suggestions.
