Now we are at the course creation
interface. We see a lot of settings for
the course. There are
two required fields for fill: Course full name and Course short name.
The description for every field appears
in the pop-up window after the click on icon with the question on the blue
circle.
For example, for Course format we see
settings for structure of course in drop-down list. Further there are some more
settings. Each course developer determines which settings to choose for the
course.
Let us create a Demo Course, for our demo course we
fill only required fields, other setting leave default.
Then press “Save and display” button,
and course created.
Here it is
shown the quickest way to add learning material: we add to the course already
available in digital form materials.
First of all
some .pdf-files was prepared at the computer, titles of files have proper
names. Then we drag-and-drop files to the appropriate place into the course.
Ones more we
create an activity for feedback – forum.
We have
received the simplest course: resources are .pdf-files, and one activity –
forum.
So we have
created a course.
In order to
set an access to
course, open course menu, choose Participant. Here there is an Action menu and
in the Drop-down list we click an ”Enrollment method”. At the list of
Enrollment methods we see which method is settled for the course. Open eye –
method is available, click the icon Edit gives settings for the method. For
example “Self enrolment” method has a lot of setting.
There are a
plenty activities and resources for construction of learning content. In order
to add one to course, we should make “Turn editing on”. Now the tool for
creation new course elements is available. List of activities and list of resources. After
the choice one of element s we see a description of chosen element. Let's
create a resource Page. We fill necessary fields, click “Save and
display”. Now our Demo Page is in the course. I don’t need this page in course,
and I delete it. For stop edit mode we should make “Turn editing off”.
