Totally agree. Gamification is really interesting for students and not only interesting but engaging also. They are highly motivated while doing gamified activities. We have to do our best to implement it actively in our classrooms.

I do agree that gammification "makes the hard stuff more fun". It proves the theory that students learn better when they are also having fun. I have practiced several gamified activities both on school and university levels (theoretical courses in linguistics) and it works indeed.

I prefer to use just some elements of the games, but not gamify the whole learning process. In my opinion, this is impossible, and it is not really necessary)) But the elements of games, by no means, help to diversify the educational process.
