Tips for Your Learn Moodle Practice Course
Here are some tips for working with your practice course that might be useful to you. The text of the infographic is available as a Word doc and a pdf for your convenience. One other tip is to subscribe to your discussion post in the "Show us your Moodle course!" forum — that way, you will be notified about questions and comments posted about your course.
What other suggestions would you have for participants working on their practice courses? Add them to the course Comments or Questions forum.
One of the recommendations is to customize your welcome message. To do so:
- Click on Participants, then Enrollment methods.
- Click on the edit icon associated with your Self enrollment option.
- Scroll down to the Customize welcome message textbox and enter your message.
- Save changes.
*Did you notice that my course is set up so that the student role has been changed to "Explorer"? To edit the names of user roles:
- Click on the course admin gear, then click on Edit settings.
- Scroll down to the Role renaming option area.
- Enter a new name for any role that you'd like to refer to differently.
- Save changes.
